Honda Track and Field Club / Promotion Support

As part of the promotion for the Honda Track and Field Club, we were responsible for promoting the signing of top sprinter Hiroki Yanagita, as well as supporting the promotion (video, visuals, and copy development) for the long-distance team’s participation in the 110th Japan Track and Field Championships.

●Project Details / Requirements This project was implemented with the aim of promoting the Honda Track and Field Club as a whole, and fostering a sense of support for the team. We took two major topics—the new signing of Hiroki Yanagita (sprints), which will create new momentum, and the team’s challenge at the 110th Japan Track and Field Championships (long distances)—and combined them into one powerful force. We developed videos, visuals, and copy to strongly convey the Honda Track and Field Club’s attitude of challenging the world and becoming the best in Japan.

●Implementation details / process
Based on the colors (white and red) that symbolize the Honda Track and Field Club, we adopted a common tone and style that conveyed “the gravitas and stoicism of top athletes” and developed each promotion accordingly.

We developed the main tagline, “Now, let’s surpass the world. On Your Marks,” visualizing the strength of standing at the starting line to challenge the world. We conducted unique individual interviews at open practices and signing press conferences, and produced a promotional video that delves into their reasons for choosing Honda and their determination to fight alongside Honda, incorporating footage of their training.

We created key visuals (group and individual) that express both a sense of speed and the profound determination to become the best in Japan. The video closely follows the final training camp in Nagano Prefecture, utilizing multiple cameras and drones for filming. Combining the tense atmosphere of the practice sessions just before the competition with individual interviews, the video is structured as a documentary that directly conveys the stoic resolve of each athlete, focusing on themes such as “words about becoming the best in Japan” and “pride as part of Team Honda.”
